Clearance sales can help supply Warm Coats For Cool Kids
It is now buying season at Warm Coats for Cool Kids.
Retailers began discounting winter coats so volunteers visit each retailer with your donation dollars.
They are seeking out store managers to get the maximum discount to make your donations stretch even further.
Last month, Warm Coats for Cool Kids purchased 450 coats but the goal is to expand its outreach to more needy scholars.
There are many ways to give. donations, employee matching programs, Amazon Smile purchases are a few.
Warm Coats for Cool Kids will have a community information booth at Elmhurst's Art in the Park on April 30-May 1. Volunteers are needed to man the booth.

Warm Coats for Cool Kids Inc. was established by Garry and Debra Vaccaro in April 2021 as a public, charitable, nonprofit corporation. It was recently granted 501(c)(3) tax exempt status by the IRS. Its mission is to provide winter coats to children from families in need.
Warm Coats is located in Elmhurst and serves families in the western suburbs of Chicago. Coats are distributed to children through events conducted at local schools and other community organizations. Warm Coats also accepts individual requests for coats submitted through community organizations. Coats are distributed from late September through March. New winter hats are also distributed with each coat when they are available.
