Marine Electrical Systems Course - Starting Tuesday, Feb. 15th at Libertyville HS

This might sound shocking, but a course about Marine Electrical Systems might actually prevent you from getting zapped! Not only that, it could very well save your boat because around 60% of all boat fires can be traced back to problems with their electrical systems.

America's Boating Club of Waukegan is offering an informative Marine Electrical Systems course for boaters that is quite practical. You will learn about electrical wiring practices and diagrams, direct and alternating current, types of batteries, chargers, galvanic and stray current corrosion and lightning protection, among other things.

Upon successful completion of the course you should feel comfortable with understanding, diagnosing and troubleshooting the various electrical problems that can come with boat ownership.

The eight-session course will be held on Tuesdays from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Libertyville High School. It starts on February 15, 2022 and ends on April 5th with a final exam. The course costs $75 for America's Boating Club members, or $105 for non-members. You will also receive a detailed Marine Electrical Systems textbook.

There is no time like the present to sign up for this course to become a more knowledgeable and all around better and safer boater! We look forward to seeing you in class.
