Join JOURNEYS | The Road Home for annual gala

JOURNEYS 25th annual Bid For HOPE Gala will take place Friday, Nov. 12, at the Cotillion Banquets in Palatine.

The gala will benefit the more than 60 programs and services that JOURNEYS | The Road Home provides to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in 37 towns in North/Northwest suburban Cook County.

The evening commences at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres paired with silent auction browsing. This will be followed by dinner, live auction, fund-a-cause and concluded with music and dancing. This event will be hosted by Cory and Ryan Liebgott.

"This year's Bid for HOPE event marks a milestone to celebrate over 30 years that JOURNEYS has assisted those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. During a challenging year presented by the pandemic, the organization has forged ahead with a relentless commitment to deliver these essential services to those in need," said Ryan Liebgott, JOURNEYS board member and assistant vice president, Lease Finance, First Bank Chicago, a division of First Bank of Highland Park.

"As we look ahead to the exciting expansion of the facility, it is more important than ever to continue to support this amazing organization. We're looking forward to hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year, and we hope to see you there,"

"We could not be more pleased to be able to offer a safe, energized and celebratory gala for our community of supporters. We do not need to be reminded about the difficulties that this past 1.5 years of pandemic life has caused. At JOURNEYS | The Road Home, we have made the deliberate choice to focus on the future," said Beth Nabors, executive director of JOURNEYS | The Road Home.

"We are moving forward without apology, we are moving forward with determination, and we are moving forward with the compassion and commitment necessary to propel us toward agency growth and program enhancement for the communities that we serve."

The goal for the event is to raise $150,000 through ticket sales, donations, the silent auction and individual and corporate sponsorships.

Tickets are $175 per guest. To purchase tickets or to become a sponsor, visit www.journeystheroadhome.org.

All local COVID-19 guidance, including masking requirements, will be followed at this event.

The mission of JOURNEYS is to individually assess and serve its clients, while broadening community awareness and involvement. The agency consists of the PADS Shelter Program, the HOPE Center Supportive Services Program and the Pathways Housing Readiness Program, which focuses on intervention and assistance for those in need.

On average, JOURNEYS serves between 800 to 1,000 people each year with fully comprehensive services. To learn more www.journeystheroadhome.org.
