Schaumburg Library Helps Teens Get Music Recorded & Published

Teens ages 12-19 are welcome to participate online in Schaumburg Library's "Teen Record Label Project" from 6-7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4. Interested teens should register at SchaumburgLibrary.org/Events to receive the Zoom link.

Participants will learn how to get their music published for free on streaming platforms. Hosted by a professional sound engineer, this recording and publishing session is open to beginners and teens that already have recorded music. Audio recording sessions are also available by appointment in the Library studio.

For teens who do not own recording equipment, the library as audio recording kits available to check out from the Library. Kits contain a laptop (recording with the audio program Logic Pro) and MIDI Controller (synthesizer keyboard). A valid Schaumburg Library card is needed to check out the equipment.
