Poplar Creek announces Extended Access service at Crawshaw branch

The Poplar Creek Public Library District announces Extended Access service at the Sonya Crawshaw Branch Library in Hanover Park.

This service will allow patrons access inside the branch library without library staff present.

"We are excited to extend the hours the branch location is open, while allowing self-directed patrons access to services such as browsing, holds, pickup, computer use, Wi-Fi access, study areas and printing services," said library Director Debra Stombres.

"The library is committed to your enjoyment and safety at our facilities. The branch library is equipped with security cameras and software that will monitor the building during Extended Access hours," Stombres added.

Library adult cardholders who enroll will simply be able to swipe their Extended Access privilege card and enter their PIN for self-service entry at times that may be more convenient for them.

For those who prefer full-service access, the library will continue to staff the branch for a limited number of hours per day, while giving patrons the flexibility to access the library during Extended Access hours.

Patrons can stop by the Sonya Crawshaw Branch Library in Hanover Park or the main library in Streamwood to enroll in the service.
