Join Clearbrook's annual 5K event Sept. 18

Returning for the third year in a row, Step It Up for Clearbrook 5K Run/1-Mile Walk will once again be held in-person at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Cronin Park, 300 S. Vail Ave. in Arlington Heights.

Clearbrook empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to embrace their potential. The Arlington Heights-based nonprofit is one of the only organizations to deliver services in a multifaceted way, covering all ages, issues and levels of severity.

Step It Up for Clearbrook is one of the organization's largest fundraising events, bringing in more than $80,000 in 2020, despite being held virtually.

Clearbrook has registration options for everyone - the serious runner, walker, kids and those who wish to participate virtually. A bib and shirt are included in the registration fee. Register at Step.Clearbrook.org. Cost is $30 for the 5K chipped/timed; $25 for 5K Fun Runner, 1-mile Walk, or Virtual Runner; or $10 for Kids Dash.

Clearbrook is home to more than 8,000 children and adults impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities. Clearbrook supports provides support across the life span, helping them to live their fullest lives possible.

Clearbrook provides personalized children, community day, employment, residential and clinical services at more than 60 locations in 160 communities throughout the Chicago area.
