Elmhurst Centre for Performing Arts introduces new initiatives

The Elmhurst Centre for Performing Arts continues to thrive with its mission of building a state-of-the-art facility for live theater, music, dance and comedy.

"We continue to engage our community and hear their stories as we move forward," said Jeff Budgell, ECPA board chairman.

"In our newest piece, local artists and leaders share their thoughts related to a performing arts venue in the Western suburbs. We share our message and highlight the impact of theater to the community and how it educates, motivates and fills our souls to enrich our lives."

"ECPA presents …" will share insights through several videos, highlighting the perspectives of local artists and leaders, each speaking to the importance of the performing arts from many vantage points, including economic impact, community, cultural vibrancy, and mental and emotional wellness.

In addition to the videos, the Elmhurst Centre for Performing Arts will pull back the curtain and release companion podcasts to hear full interviews with owners of dance studios and band leaders, along with local and nationally renowned theater directors, to name a few.

Podcasts will be released on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple and Google.

"So many are touched and influenced by the performing arts. 'ECPA presents … ' is one way to connect us all," Budgell said.
