Autohaus on Edens pledges 5-year financial commitment as Highland Park Community Foundation's newest Corporate Champion

Luxury car dealer Autohaus on Edens has generously pledged a 5-year financial commitment to the Highland Park Community Foundation (HPCF). As the most recent North Shore business to sign on to the HPCF Corporate Champion Program, Autohaus on Eden's generous contribution will provide financial resources the Foundation needs to support community-based programs and services for Highland Park and Highwood residents.

"We are thrilled to welcome Autohaus on Edens and grateful for their generous 5-year commitment," said David Reich, Chairman of the Highland Park Community Foundation. "Their participation in the HPCF Corporate Champion Program will help ensure our Board has the funding we need to support an incredible number of organizations - over 50 at last count - that so well serve our community."

"I am a strong believer in supporting the community you live in with purpose. My father bought this business (Autohaus on Edens) back in 1972 and as a boy and young man, I watched him create relationships that were based on integrity and friendship. I learned in those years that the potential to do remarkable things as a group, whether it be the work family or DNA family, really hinged on how well we all learned to work together. I extend this armchair philosophy to my community. How can I be helpful? How can I be a good neighbor? Who wants to work together to make a difference? As a long-term resident of Highland Park, my philosophies and support align quite well with the Highland Park Community Foundation. They really say it best. Give Where You Live! I say yes to that. Let's work together to be remarkable." - Michael Rosengarden, President, Autohaus on Edens.

In the fall of each year, the HPCF awards grants to nonprofits and agencies that provide a wide range of critically important programs and services for the youngest to the oldest members of the Highland Park and Highwood community. The Foundation's annual grants address needs in five main categories: education, human services, senior services, services for individuals with disabilities, and the creative and cultural arts. Since March of 2020, the Foundation has also awarded COVID-19 emergency grants to address urgent needs stemming from the pandemic. These grants improve individual lives and benefit the community as a whole.

Since its inception in 1992, the HPCF has distributed nearly $3.2 million in grants. Along with private donations, Corporate Champion partnerships help secure the financial resources needed to support the Foundation's grant awards. The HPCF encourages all businesses that are committed to a culture of community support to become Corporate Champions. The Program features 4 tiers - Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum - each with an annual commitment and a pledge guaranteeing 5 years of support. The Foundation also encourages all community members to give locally to help their neighbors and the community at large.
