Celebrate the Fourth with BrassWorks July 3 at Huntley church

Celebrate America's birthday with the Shepherd of the Prairie Artist Series at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley. Enjoy the nationally recognized brass band from Brass Works during a special live, free concert in the church sanctuary, 10805 Main St.

This special event showcases the extraordinary instrumental musical entertainment of Brass Works, which will perform popular patriotic music with a bit of Dixieland and Jazz, the root of American music. The lead trumpet of the group, Mark Olen, performed during this year's Easter services in the Sanctuary at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church. The group's instrumentation is comprised of the trumpet, trombone, french horn and tuba and continues to provide outstanding musical as well as educational performances.

Admission to the live concert is free and donations are gratefully accepted. Bring the family to experience this entertaining tribute to our country.
