Schaumburg Library and Support Our Seniors Offer Scam Prevention Program

Tips for avoiding scams targeted at seniors will be provided during "Senior Scam Prevention" from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, May 4, on Zoom. Co-sponsored by the Schaumburg Library and Support Our Seniors Council, this event requires registration at SchaumburgLibrary.org to receive the Zoom link. It can also be live streamed at SchaumburgLibrary.tv or listened to by phone. Those planning to listen by phone can register by calling (847) 923-3347.

Schaumburg Police will offer valuable information to help seniors steer clear of those who might try to target them in scams involving theft of money or identity. The Support our Seniors Council will provide packets of informational materials and promotional items that may be picked up from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 24 or Tuesday, April 27 from The Barn, 231 S. Civic Drive, Schaumburg.

The Schaumburg Township District Library and its branches in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park are open to the public with limited capacity and hours in accordance with COVID guidelines. For information, go to SchaumburgLibrary.org or call the library at (847) 985-4000.
