Schaumburg Library and Versiti to Hold Blood Drive

Schaumburg Library is joining forces with Versiti to replenish dangerously low blood supplies in the community, and donors will receive a free umbrella. The mobile coach blood drive will take place from noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 28 in the Central Library parking lot, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Donors will find the mobile coach near the library's west entrance.

To schedule an appointment, go to SchaumburgLibrary.org or call (800) 7To-GIVE. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome. Potential donors should drink plenty of non-caffeinated fluids prior to their visit and bring a driver's license or state issued ID card. Versiti additionally recommends getting a good night's sleep prior to donation day and eating a healthy meal at least one hour before donating. More information is available at versiti.org.

The Schaumburg Township District Library and its branches in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park are open to the public with limited capacity and hours in accordance with COVID guidelines. For information, go to SchaumburgLibrary.org or call the library at (847) 985-4000.
