Schaumburg Library and CUB Schedule Utility Bill Clinic

Anyone who pays utility bills can benefit from information and tips to be provided during "Utility Bill Clinic with the Citizens Utility Board" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, April 15 on Zoom. Residents will learn strategies for reducing electric, gas and landline and cell phone bills during this program hosted by the Schaumburg Library and Citizen's Utility Board (CUB). Registration is required for this event and takes place at SchaumburgLibrary.org.

Participants will select a time slot for a one-on-one meeting in a private and secure video call with a CUB representative. CUB will provide details for the private video call prior to the scheduled meeting. Current copies of gas, electric and telephone bills must be available to review prior to the appointment. Topics covered will include spotting unnecessary charges, energy efficiency programs and rebates, decoding gas and electric bills, spotting errors and avoiding scams. Options for phone, TV and internet will also be discussed.

CUB is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to representing the rights of utility customers across the state of Illinois.

The Schaumburg Township District Library and its branches in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park are open to the public, with limited hours and capacity. Please go to SchaumburgLibrary.org for details or call the library at (847) 985-4000.
