The Lodge of Northbrook residents receive second vaccine this Friday February 5

The Lodge of Northbrook, an independent, active adult community in Northbrook, Illinois, is pleased to announce that they, in conjunction with the JewelOsco of Glenview, will complete their final COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic this Friday, February 5, 2021. JewelOsco provided the first round of the vaccine on January 15, 2021 at the Lodge of Northbrook.

Among the very first independent living and assisted living communities on the north shore to receive the vaccine, David Randle, Executive Director, states that "We were so fortunate. Of course, the residents had been asking for months if we could coordinate having a provider come into the community to give the vaccine. To the best of my ability, I wanted to make certain that our residents received the vaccine as early as possible. On any given day, I was either making phone calls, emailing, participating in nationally sponsored conference calls, or checking our status online, multiple times a day with various agencies to somehow make this happen. I was surprised and ecstatic when I was notified that JewelOsco had been given the go-ahead from the Cook County Department of Public Health to schedule our Vaccine Clinic. The world travelled fast we were getting the vaccine, and soon we were receiving calls from other communities and government service providers asking how we had successfully scheduled our clinics."

The Lodge of Northbrook, 2220 Founders Drive, Northbrook, Illinois, is situated near the Willow Festival shopping area in the heart of Northbrook. The Lodge is one of Northbrook's newer active independent senior living community for folks 55 years of age and older.
