Democrats of Northfield present township candidates
Headed by Shiva Mohsenzadeh, Northfield Township trustee and chief of staff for state Sen. Laura Fine, the Democrats of Northfield Township Caucus has forwarded a slate of candidates for township government positions.
Mohsenzadeh of Glenview is running for township supervisor. A graduate of the Illinois Women's Institute for Leadership, she's a member of the Glenview School District 34 PTA Council and the Glenview-Glencoe League of Women Voters. Mohsenzadeh moved from Iran with her parents when she was 15 and has an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Mohsenzadeh has been a Northfield trustee since 2017.
Alida Nally of Glenview will run for Northfield Township assessor. Currently the township's deputy assessor and a certified Illinois assessing officer, she is a former real estate appraiser with 23 years in valuation experience. Among her community affiliations, Nally served as the treasurer of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Women's Club.
Northbrook resident Caryn Fliegler is the Northfield Caucus' candidate for township clerk. She manages grants for The Josselyn Center, a community mental health center in Northfield. She also serves as a leader of the Illinois chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and sits on the board of Makom Solel Lakeside synagogue in Highland Park.
The Democrats of Northfield Township also advanced as trustee candidates Scott Ottenheimer, Vincent Pace, Daniel Schack and Kate Spears, all of Northbrook.
