2 women arrested in Lisle armed robbery
Daily Herald report
Two area women have been charged in the armed robbery of a visiting Texas man in Lisle, police said.
Officers responded after 10 p.m. Dec. 11 to a report of an armed robbery in the area of Four Lakes Drive and Eastlake Drive, according to a news release from Lisle police.
The 25-year-old man told officers he was in the area on business, and that he had used a dating website to meet a woman, later identified as 20-year-old Nika Williams of the 2500 block of Woodlyn Drive in Woodridge.
The two agreed to meet in person, and Williams brought along another woman, 20-year-old Precious Walker of the 8100 block of S. Ingleside Avenue, Chicago. After driving around for several hours, it is alleged Williams displayed a pistol demanding the man's mobile phone and wallet. Police said Williams also forced him to transfer money to her using his mobile phone.
Both women fled in Williams' vehicle, but were found a short time later by Lisle police with assistance from Bolingbrook and Woodridge police. The pistol used in the act was also found and determined to be an airsoft pellet gun.
Both women were charged with armed robbery, and Walker was additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice after determining she had an outstanding warrant out of Indiana. The women are held at the DuPage County Jail, each on a $5,000 full bond.
