Join Naperville Art League for Artists Sunday Nov. 29

Artists Sunday is a global initiative to recognize and support local artists. It falls on Nov. 29 this year, the weekend of Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Its purpose is to encourage consumers to shop with artists and give something special, one-of-a-kind, and hand-crafted this holiday season. Participating artists and art organizations in all 50 states and some international locations advise "shop art".

Naperville Art League is participating in the following ways:

• Shopping: The Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery, 508 N. Center St, Naperville will be open Sunday, Nov. 29, from noon to 3 p.m. for shopping at the "Gallery of Gifts" holiday sale.

Face masks and social distancing are required. In addition to a gallery full of one-of-a-kind gift items by local artists, there will be a double door prize opportunity and free artist supply packages available that day.

• Curbside delivery: Another option is to select items on Naperville Art League's Facebook, then call the Naperville Art League at (630) 355-2530 to purchase via credit card and set an appointment for curbside delivery.

• Stay-at-home buying: Gift certificates are available via the website. These can be used by the recipient for gallery merchandise or classes.

Proceeds from the "Gallery of Gifts" holiday sale go to support the art league's artist members, many of whom have faced challenges in recent months. A portion of the proceeds supports League operations.

Naperville Art League is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization serving Naperville area artists and community with classes for adults and children, gallery shows, events including the annual Riverwalk Fine Art Fair, and more. Tax deductible donations are appreciated.
