Cary Chamber hosts ribbon cutting and grand opening for I Heart Yoga

On Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting event at I Heart Yoga to celebrate their new location at 835 Feinberg Court, Suite 120, in Cary.

I Heart Yoga was established in 2017 by owner Angie Berthelsen at the original location in downtown Cary.

The new location boasts a larger space and the opportunity to continue to expand in the future.

Berthelsen started I Heart Yoga because she loves teaching and passionately believes that anyone can practice yoga, regardless of age, weight, or gender. She has practiced yoga for 8 years and other forms of exercise for over a decade. In addition to her 200 Hour Yoga Certification, she is certified in Prenatal Yoga, Children's Yoga and Trauma Sensitive Yoga.

Berthelsen also teaches group fitness classes for seniors, is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and is certified in Thai massage. She is currently working on a master's degree in kinesiology.

"I love getting the opportunity to connect with people, hear their stories and remind them that they are amazing, capable people," says Berthelsen, "I can help them feel better not just physically but mentally. I find it hard to express in words how much joy I get watching my students grow."

I Heart Yoga offers a variety of classes for men, women, and children. In addition to offering classes and private sessions in the studio, they also offer yoga and personal training sessions at your home, office, school and more.
