American Marketing Association Chicago Launches New Signature Speaker Series
The American Marketing Association Chicago, AMA Chicago, announces a new Signature Speaker Series featuring industry leaders. Four online programs will be offered in September and December 2020, February and June 2021. Each hour-long webinar will conclude with a 30-minute Q&A session, and the series is sponsored by 50K, Adage and LoSasso Integrated Marketing.
The first Signature Speaker Series guest is Laurie Blair, Walgreens Senior Director of Brand and Retail Marketing, on Wednesday September 2, 2020, 7-8:30 p.m. CT. As an essential provider, pharmacy and national brand, Walgreens has pivoted more than most businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. Blair will share how the company harnessed the brand, altered campaigns and messaging to better serve customers, and helped consumers feel safe during this health crisis. Registration for Ms. Blair's event is now open.
The December AMA Chicago Signature Speaker will feature Mathew Sweezey, Market Strategy Director for Salesforce. He has worked with some of the world's biggest brands, including Boeing, Shell, Home Depot and Harley Davidson. He researches and writes about the future of marketing, and has published in Forbes and Marketing Pros, and he is the author of the book The Context Marketing Revolution: How to Motivate Buyers in the Age of Infinite Media.
"As many people continue to work from home, AMA Chicago is happy to offer continuing education lectures for free to our members," says AMA Chicago Executive Director Bonnie Massa. "We know that marketing professionals are looking for meaningful industry connections and a better understanding of evolving best practices after months of quarantine. We're pleased to present this impressive quartet of expert leaders and analysis."
The February 2021 program will focus on influencer marketing, and the June 2021 topic is TBA.
Non-AMA members can register for all four Signature Series events and save 20%. AMA members can access these four programs plus six workshop events, six "connex" events, and two career connections programs for no additional charge. New members are always welcome and can enroll online. The AMA Chicago is currently offering professional memberships for $149 per year, a 50% discount.
