Poplar Creek Library offering curbside pickup

Streamwood, IL (May 18, 2020)-Patrons who have had books and movies on hold since before the stay-at-home directive will now be able to pick them up curbside at the Poplar Creek Public Library located at 1405 S. Park Avenue. Beginning Monday, May 18, curbside pickup will be available Monday through Thursday from 10 am-6 pm, and Friday 9 am-5 pm. Patrons who had books on hold before the Library closed its doors in March will be contacted regarding those materials.

Library officials have planned this new offering with the utmost safety in mind. A small number of staff will be scheduled with minimal contact between staff members.

No material returns will be accepted at the curbside. Materials should be returned through material book drops at the Main Library in Streamwood, or at the Sonya Crawshaw Branch in Hanover Park. Upon return, materials will be quarantined for 72 hours, following CDC guidelines.

Items may be reserved in two ways-online and by phone. For more information on how to place a hold, visit the Library's website at pclib.org or call 630-837-6800 (Mon-Fri, 9 am-5 pm).
