HEParks closes facilities to limit exposure

Hoffman Estates Park District (HEParks) has closed all of its facilities and canceled rentals, special events and programs until March 29 out of caution over the COVID-19 outbreak based on guidance put out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the declaration of a national emergency. The district plans to reopen after the two-week period on March 30. HEParks is not currently aware of any COVID-19 exposure at any Park District facility.

These HEParks facilities are closed:

• Triphahn Center & Ice Arena, 1685 W. Higgins Rd.

• The Club at Prairie Stone, 5050 Sedge Blvd.

• Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club, 1400 Poplar Creek Dr.

• Willow Recreation Center, 3600 Lexington Dr.

• 50+ Club, 1685 W. Higgins Rd. (closed until further notice)

Due to the closure of the facilities to the public, the March 17 regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners and Committee meetings will be canceled. The Administration and Finance Committee meeting on March 24 has also been canceled.

Willow Recreation Center will reopen on March 17, 2020, only for the primary election.
