For Jimmy Garoppolo, home is where the heart is

At heart, Jimmy Garoppolo is a very private person.

So when a resolute Bay Area media outlet set out to profile the homes of major names around the glory-bound Niners, its staff didn't realize what a task it was taking on with the charismatic No. 10.

The website had no trouble finding the opulent mansion of San Francisco chairman Jed York in pricey Los Altos Hills.

Locating coach Kyle Shanahan's tony digs in Silicon Valley's Saratoga was easy - he bought it from departing QB Trent Dilfer three years ago for $6.8 million.

Even tight end George Kittle's new place - a comparatively modest $940,000 home 15 minutes outside Nashville, Tenn. - was a comparative chip shot.

Finally, editors admitted: "We weren't able to tackle the living situation of our elusive quarterback."

Instead, the site ran a 2015 video of Jimmy G's boyhood home in south central Arlington Heights.

Now SF fans can only hope he handles Kansas City's defense with such stealth and deftness in Super Bowl 54 Sunday (Fox, 5:30 p.m.).
