Consumers Credit Union Hosts 90th Annual Meeting
Waukegan, IL January 21, 2020: Consumers Credit Union (CCU; Member-owned; $1.3 Billion, Waukegan, IL) hosts its 90th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, IL. The meeting features the election of five (5) Members to the credit union's Board of Directors, along with the awarding of fifteen (15) scholarships, each worth $2,000.00. The scholarships are selected and awarded by Consumers Cooperative Association, CCU's sponsor.
The Annual Meeting kicks off with a welcome from John R. Janezic, CCU's Chairman of the Board, followed by Sean Rathjen's CEO presentation. Sean will provide a recap of the credit union's 2019 financial performance, including a comparison of CCU's performance to that of other financial institutions both locally and nationally, while highlighting significant achievements from the past year. His presentation will also provide a look ahead to plans for the new decade. Members then meet the candidates for the all-volunteer Board of Directors, followed immediately by the Board election. Those unable to attend the Annual Meeting can still have their voices heard by submitting proxy forms, which are available Online at myconsumers.org.
"Consumers Credit Union's Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for Members to meet the credit union's leaders, both at the Board and management level, an opportunity unique to credit unions," said Sean M. Rathjen, CCU's CEO. "Our Members have a clear voice in the election of their Board of Directors in a transparent environment. Members also have an opportunity to mingle among themselves and enjoy a great meal, while the credit union has an opportunity to personally thank them for trusting us with their business."

Approximately 300 Members and guests are expected to attend the 90th Annual Meeting at Great Wolf Lodge, 1700 Nations Dr. in Gurnee, IL. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. 2019 Annual Reports will be distributed at the meeting. Tickets are available beginning February 1, 2020 at all CCU Service Centers for $15.00 on a first-come, first-served basis and no tickets will be sold at the door.
