Library Invites College-Bound Students to Take Prep Exams

High school students in grades 10 through 12 may register for free SAT and ACT practice exams in the Adult Classroom of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. The SAT exam will be held from 1-5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, while the ACT exam is scheduled from 1-5 p.m., Saturday, March 7. Both are offered by Princeton Review.

Register for the exams online at SchaumburgLibrary.org by clicking on "Events" at the top of the homepage, "Teens" in the drop-down menu, then "Register" next to the exam of your choosing. The information provided will include a link for creating a Princeton Review account necessary for receiving test scores.

High school students and their parents are welcome to attend "College Entrance Exam Prep" from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 20 in the Adult Classroom. A team from the Huntington Learning Center will reveal how the SAT, ACT or PSAT/NMSQT influence college admissions and how they are scored and used. Participants will receive tips for test preparation and strategies for improving test scores.

More information about upcoming college preparation programs are listed on the library's website and in the library's February-March Guide, which will be mailed to Schaumburg Township residents next week.
