Barrington's Hope Ministries Partners with Military Outreach USA to help Local Veterans

Barrington's St. Anne Catholic Community's Hope Ministries recently partnered with Military Outreach USA to provide essential kitchen items to homeless veterans transitioning to area apartments.

The apartments are unfurnished and the St. Anne community provided bins filled with kitchen items along with pillows to help veterans adjust to apartment life.

The St. Anne parish community donated smaller kitchen items before volunteers gave their time to fill the bins with the kitchen basics. Everything from pots and pans to food items were placed in the bins.

"The project was a great success," said project volunteer Anne Rometty. "It was an honor to give back to veterans who have given so much to us."

Hope Ministries provides food, housing, transportation and/or utility assistance to individuals and families in crisis through its Project Hope outreach initiative. For more information or to volunteer, call 847-381-5721.
