Experience a spooky trek through the valley

The fields and forest of Spring Valley will enchant attendees as they take on the trails at A Haunting in the Valley.

A Haunting in the Valley takes place from 6:15-9:30 p.m., Oct. 25 and 26, at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Covered wagons will transport participants to the trail entrance every 10 minutes for a half-hour walk filled with mysterious and magical delights along the trails.

"Come dressed in your favorite character or simply be on the lookout for what lurks ahead on the trail."

Costumed guides will take participants along the trail. Other activities will take place at the Nature Center which include games, refreshments, a live owl display and a bonfire.

Tickets may be purchased at the Nature Center for one of three time slots each evening. Cost is $6 per person before 5 p.m., Oct. 25 and $8 per person at the door, if available. Advance purchase is recommended as space is limited.
