Howl-o-ween fun for dogs/owners at Mundelein Park District's Free Doggy Trick-or-Treat

Pack up your pooch for an event that's sure to be howling fun: Mundelein Park District's (https://mundeleinparks.org/) Doggy Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, October 12, noon to 2 pm at Community Park (1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein).

Families and all friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at this FREE event that includes a costume contest complete with prizes for a variety of categories such as cutest, scariest, funniest, etc.! Bobbing for weenies, an agility course, hide and go treat, and digging in the boneyard are a just a few of the activities that are sure to get a pups' tail wagging! There will even be a chance to pose for the puparazzi at a photo booth, a pumpkin eating contest and a doggy dash race as well. Many pet related businesses will be on hand for doggy trick or treating and Placing Paws (https://placingpawsrescue.org/ ) adoption agency will be on hand with pets to adopt for a real Halloween treat!

PRIOR TO THE DOGGY TRICK-OR-TREAT:

All are welcome (and of course, dogs) to join us for a free GO MUNDELEIN walk. We will meet at 11:00 am near Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center (1461 N. Midlothian) before the Doggy Trick-or-Treat, take a brisk walk, and be back to Community Park just in time for the best dog-gone fun you can imagine!

GO MUNDELEIN is a walking initiative that promotes healthy and active living through programing and events. It encourages everyone to make a commitment to walk for 30 minutes every day. Mundelein Park District organizes monthly free walks to help meet this commitment.
