Semple kicks off Schaumburg's Summer Breeze Concert Series

Bring your family and friends and enjoy live music in a beautiful outdoor setting.

The free Summer Breeze Concert Series is sponsored by Schaumburg Park District and the Village of Schaumburg. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. lakeside on the grounds of Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, 101 Schaumburg Court.

"There is nothing better than live music on a summer evening - stay seated and enjoy a relaxing night, or get up and groove to the beat," said Beth Waller, cultural arts supervisor.

"We have several bands that will perform throughout the summer featuring rock, Motown, country, jazz and more."

Upcoming concerts in the series include:

• Semple, July 20

• Ethan Bell Band, Aug. 10

• The Flat Cats, Aug. 17

• Frank Winkler and The Symphonic Pops, Aug. 24

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Pets are not permitted on the grounds during concerts.

In case of severe weather during the day, the concert will be moved into the theater before the concert begins. If severe weather occurs once the concert has already begun, the rest of the concert will be canceled. There are no rain dates.
