Seats Available on Three Library Bus Trips

Spots are still open on three of the summer bus trips offered by the Schaumburg Township District Library. Trips leave and return the same day from the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Registration and payment are required for all of the following trips. To register, visit the Adult Information Desk on the library's second floor or sign up by phone and pay with a credit card.

The trip to see "Hamilton: The Exhibition" will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1 on the Museum Campus of Chicago's Northerly Island, with a fee of $93 per person. Attendees will experience Alexander Hamilton's story through his eyes via a 360-degree immersive exhibition inspired by the revolutionary musical. The tour features an audio tour narrated by the musical's author, Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well an interactive mix of lighting, sound, multimedia, music and historical artifacts. Lunch at the Half Sour restaurant is included.

Theater lovers have the opportunity to see "Come from Away" on a bus trip from 5-11 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Cadillac Palace Theater in Chicago for a fee of $109 per person. This Broadway play is a Best Musical winner across North America and tells the story of 7,000 stranded passengers in Newfoundland who couldn't get on flights after the September 11, 2001 attacks. They were welcomed by small town residents who broke down language and cultural barriers as they helped their unexpected guests.

Tempel Farms in Old Mill Creek will be the destination of a bus trip from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21 to see the world famous Tempel Lippizan horses. For a fee of $90 per person, trip-goers will enjoy a captivating performance, showcasing the beauty of dressage, synchronized movements, and harmony between horse and rider. Lunch will take place at the Chocolate Sanctuary Restaurant in Gurnee.
