Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic Awards Scholarships

Each year, the Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic provides scholarships to current high school seniors and college students who joined an NPC sorority.

The scholarships were awarded April 24th, at The Cotillion in Palatine.

The Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic was able to award five $1,200 scholarships to high school seniors from local high schools. These winners went through an application process, interviewed, and finally awarded these scholarships. These scholarships will help with the student's tuition, books, cost of living, etc, towards their college education.

In addition to the five high school senior scholarships, there were four $500 scholarships awarded to past applicants currently a freshman or sophomore in college and who joined a National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sorority. These winners went through an application process and their names were drawn on the night of the Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic Spring Scholarship Banquet. These scholarships help pay for the yearly dues associated with the NPC sorority the college student is in.

The Spring Scholarship Banquet also included awards for the Athena Award, Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic Outstanding Alumnae, and Outstanding Alumnae from each sorority associated with the Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic.

The event included a basket raffles, all with different themes as well as a Cubs tickets raffle for an upcoming game this season. All money raised from this event helps go toward scholarships for the following year.

The Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic will be hosting a Sorority Recruitment Information Night on May 28th at 7pm at the Barrington Library for graduating seniors.
