Veterans sought as project volunteers

The Volunteer Veterans Conservation Corps, which works on projects for Volo Bog State Natural Area and Moraine Hills State Park & McHenry Dam will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 9 at Volo Bog, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside. The group allows veterans to continue serving their country by assisting with projects to enhance state parks and natural areas. The current project involves brochure holders for kiosks and shelters. Bird houses and Leopold benches are planned. Meetings also are scheduled for April 6, May 4, June 1 and beyond.
