Water Street Studios, Artisan Collective Batavia to host Winterfest Art Market Dec. 14-16

Water Street Studios and Artisan Collective Batavia are collaborating to produce the Winterfest Art Market, a holiday shopping event on Friday through Sunday, Dec. 14-16, at Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St., Batavia.

The public is invited to experience this holiday market at Water Street Studios, a nonprofit art center and historic venue in downtown Batavia.

Danielle Hollis, executive director of Water Street Studios shares, "This event unites our community together during the holiday season by supporting artists and artisans. It's a privilege to open our historic venue for our community to explore the curated gallery walls, artist studios, art workshops, all while getting their holiday shopping wrapped up. We are really trying to make this an experiential event more than anything else. I invite you to come experience it for yourself with us."

Explore the Dempsey Family Gallery to view and purchase a juried collection of fine art at affordable prices so you can share the perfect gift for that creative someone. Continue on throughout the venue to shop from more than 20 artisan vendors and over 25 resident artists at Water Street Studios featuring handmade jewelry, candles, soaps and more.

The event will kick off from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday with an opening reception and continue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Enjoy food and coffee vendors and a cash bar featuring beer by Solemn Oath Brewery alongside wine and cocktail options.

Some of the artisans include: Additions Studio, Aroma Roots Natural Bath Body & Facial Mask Bar, Batavia Made, Bata Omnis Crafts, Firefly Candle Market, Hearth & Hammer, Hemp Club, I Do Windows by Rettaglass, Industrial Accent, Isette, Joy to Love, Kiddie Capes, Nancy Neill Designs Inc., Natalie Clare, Real Happy Space, Rosy Magpie, Scissor Sisters Accessories, Tall Pine Pottery, Tieri Ton Books, ToNyA j. BeSToR DeSiGNS, watershed soaps, Wheatley Design, and Wunkywerks Guitars.

In addition to resident artists at Water Street Studio, other featured artists will be: Carol Barrett, Rudy DeRam, Jeremy Foy, Karl Jahnke, Anke Korioth, Diane MacMillan Art, Gordan Parker, Addam Patek , Georgia Schwender, Michael Waters, David Wennemar, Denise Wheeler, Naomi Zagt Art, and Justin Lirot.

Water Street Studios also will be hosting holiday art workshops for all ages. Workshop registration available on Water Street Studios website. Also featuring coffee options from FreshGround Roasting in Geneva and Modest Coffee Roasters in West Chicago, Sweet P's Homemade Cookies in Naperville and more.
