Job Seekers Invited to Attend Northbrook-Area Job Fair on September 27

Workers seeking employment opportunities are encouraged to attend an upcoming Job Fair at the Northbrook Public Library on Thursday, September 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Over 20 prominent North Shore employers will be participating, seeking candidates for a wide range of part time and full time job openings in a variety of industries.

The Job Fair is sponsored by the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce and the Northbrook Public Library in partnership with Illinois workNet Center, which collaborates with community organizations to provide guidance and services for anyone in the job market.

The available jobs range from entry level to professional positions. A partial list of job openings includes:

• Banking: Universal banker/tellers

• Fitness Clubs: Personal trainers, member services, café staff

• Health Care: Nurses (RNs, LPNs and CNAs), speech pathologists, caregivers, behavior technicians, housekeepers, inclusion companions and program assistants

• Hospitality Industry: Servers, kitchen positions, bartenders, host/hostesses, banquet captains, and night auditors

• HVAC: Installation/service technicians, customer service

• Manufacturing/Shipping: Warehouse workers, customer service reps, test lab associates, inside sales reps, package handlers

• Retail: Sales associates and managers

A few of the employers at the Job Fair will include AA Service Co., Arden Courts Memory Care, Covenant Village of Northbrook, Five Season Sports Club, Francesca's North and Granite City restaurants, Hilton Chicago/Northbrook and Renaissance Chicago North Shore hotels, Moog, Northbrook Police Department, Saf-T-Gard International, and UPS.
