Satisfy That Sweet Tooth! Join the Inaugural Candyality 5K Run/Walk September 22!

Let your inner child out for a day and embark on the ultimate guilty pleasure! Participate in the inaugural Candyality 5K Run & Walk, along Chicago's scenic lakefront on Saturday, September 22, 2018 and burn off some calories as you enjoy a sweet walk or run during this first-year event.

The walk/run starts and ends on the paths in Lincoln Park, 1650 N Stockton Drive, at 8 a.m. Sweet swag for participants will include a 'Pick Your Color' short sleeve dri-fit shirt, race bib, finisher medal and a goody bag. Oodles of confections will be available throughout the course and at the finish line, sponsored by Candyality. Taffy Town, Jelly Belly, Albanese and many more will also supply sweet treats for participants!

Runners and walkers can reminisce to their childhood days as they yearned to reach the castle full of candy while trying to avoid a swamp full of molasses and hike through mountains of gumdrops.

"We're excited to offer our first ever Candyality race," said Aaron Del Mar, ASE founder. "This sugar-coated extravaganza can create a bit of nostalgia for our 5K participants and great memories for children."

Proceeds from the event will benefit GirlForward, a community of support dedicated to creating and enhancing opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution.

All participants receive a candy themed finisher's medal upon race completion. Awards and a customized Candyality 5K medal will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, and the top three runners of each age group. An awards ceremony to honor the race winners who successfully navigate through a world of sweets will be held at 9:30 a.m.
