Music, fireworks at Cary's Summer Celebration June 29

Cary's Summer Celebration fills the air with the sights, sounds and scents of a summertime party in the park for the entire community.

Join the Cary Park District on Friday, June 29, at Lions Park to celebrate Independence Day with the rock-n-roll sounds of The Allstars, a local band featuring music influenced by Tom Petty, Pat Benetar, Radiohead and Head East, just to name a few.

The band performs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. with fireworks scheduled to start shortly after the band's performance.

Pack a picnic or enjoy or purchase dinner from the food vendor on-site to make your celebration under the stars complete.

Admission to the celebration is free. Parking cost $10 for pavement parking and $5 for grass parking.

The park opens at 6:30 p.m. for the evening's festivities.
