Memorial Day Remembrance 2018. Warrenville VFW Post 8081 and American Legion Post 589 sponsored a week long event that included the Healing Field of Flags, The Vietnam Memorial Replica Wall, and a POW/MIA Table. The final program on Memorial Day was very heart touching and solemn. I thought a collage would be the best way to present this event. During a May visit to the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, I photographed this fascinating fern with it's repeating "handlebar mustache" shapes. I don't know whether the curves will stay that shape, or straighten out like the lower leaves as it grows over the summer months. Mike Weimer of St. Charles
