Early morning at Busse Woods on 9/17/2014. Kathy Gaffney of Roselle
This photo taken on Nov. 1 at Waterfall Glens Forest Preserve in Lemont. I took three exposures with varying degrees of shutter speeds and with my photo editing software was able to blend them into this one photo. I experimented with blurring the water to varying degrees also and I was happy with this final product. The waterfall is a real treat hidden in the woods. I loved the peaceful setting on a dark and damp day. Nancy Havener of Naperville
Bill Loftus, Sr of LisleThis photo was taken in my backyard in Lisle by my son Bill Jr. Amazingly he took it with his I-phone. We are especially impressed with the exquisite detail of the legs and antenna, and all the other colors, as well as my Lantana flowers!

I took the photo of whooping cranes at the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, WI. I like reflections on the water with these beautiful, endangered birds. Robert M. Sharp of Gilberts
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We have a wild turkey that runs around our neighborhood here in Sycamore. Because many in town have grown fond of our feathered friend, he actually has his very own Facebook page now (The Sycamore Turkey). Matthew Kirby of Sycamore
This past October, I visited St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville, IL. This beautiful, large draft horse was grazing in one of the farm's fenced fields. What I liked most about the picture was the repeating lines of the horse's mane. Mike Weimer of St. Charles
