This is a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge taken in September of this year in San Francisco. I love the color of the bridge against the sky. The angle of the shot seems like a bridge to the heavens, with the loudspeaker at the very top ready to broadcast heaven's message.

This is the spectacular view looking across Rocky Mountain National Park's rugged alpine tundra toward Long's Peak, the park's highest mountain rising to 14,259 feet. The photo was taken from Trail Ridge Road, North America's highest major highway, which tops out at 12,183 feet near this photo location. My adult son and I visited the park in the summer of 2012.
