I stopped by the pond next to the Ronald McDonald House on Winfield Road today. The swans had two babies by the nest. As I tried to get closer, they came out for a family swim across the pond. It was late afternoon so the sun was warm on them and highlighted their beauty. What a lovely gift for the family's at Ronald McDonald House and for patient's across the street at the hospital.

While walking along Rockford's river walk I came across two swans sitting on the river bank. A fence was between me and the swans. This swan just happened to look back toward me and I took the picture as his head was framed in an opening in the fence.
