Library invites all ages to World Day of Puppetry

Puppet shows, puppet making and a puppet parade are just some of the events that will take place during Schaumburg Library's World Day of Puppetry celebration from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

No registration is required for any of the events, all of which are free.

Library visitors who want to make their own puppets are welcome to get creative from noon to 2:30 p.m. at one of the first-floor puppet making tables. All will have the opportunity to display their work during the outdoor puppet parade, weather permitting, from 2:30-3 p.m.

The Melikin Puppets will present "Dragon Feathers" from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Rasmussen Room on the library's second floor. Dave Herzog will present "Dragon Days and Knight Time" from 1-2:15 p.m. in the kidsZone Program Room. A limited number of free tickets will be available in the kidsZone Department 30 minutes prior to each show.
