Water main break closes Schaumburg Library tonight

Due to a water main break, the Schaumburg Library located at 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg, will close tonight, March 14, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Executive Director Monica Harris said she regrets the canceling of this evening's programs, but patron safety must take priority.

Public buildings must have access to water in order to remain open.

"Thankfully, no damage to the library was caused as part of this break," Harris said, adding "we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience."

The library will reopen at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15.
