Addams students learn about future opportunities at Career Day
Addams Junior High students got to learn about a variety of occupations on March 1 thanks to more than 60 parents and community members who participated in the school's Career Day.
Visitors included a trauma nurse, photographer, dentist, chemical engineer, attorney, software developer, F-16 fighter pilot, hair stylist, architect, real estate broker, sign language interpreter, police officer, baseball coach, chef, and mental health therapist. Each student attended six sessions throughout the morning.
"We take seriously our role in helping students establish short and long term goals. The Career Day is just one of many opportunities during the school year where we try to motivate students to plan for the future," said Addams Principal Chris Bingen.
