Attorney Kelly Anderson elevated to partner at Lavelle Law

Lavelle Law of Palatine has announced that attorney Kelly Anderson has been made a partner at the firm. Anderson, a Cary resident, joined the firm in 2011 and concentrates primarily on matters of commercial and residential real estate.

Anderson joins seven other members of the firm as a partner, including Ted McGinn who was named managing partner of the 25-attorney firm at the beginning of 2017. McGinn spoke highly of Anderson's contributions to the firm. "Our real estate practice group is a highly productive unit for us and Kelly has been instrumental in that success. We have a very high retention rate among people who inquire about our real estate services and many of our clients come to us through referrals which is a tribute to Kelly's work."

Anderson, a graduate of the University of Illinois-Champaign matriculated to the Loyola University Chicago School of Law to earn her J.D. She then spent the first decade of her career working at several law firms in Chicago. The suburban setting and the manner in which various practice groups integrate to serve the needs of clients across multiple areas of law are among the factors that drew Anderson to Lavelle Law. "It's important that when I deal with a commercial real estate client I am able to bring in someone from our tax team to assist on possible tax implications, or when a young family is buying their first home I can also have our estate planning team protect their investment," Anderson said.

She also noted the firm's reputation for community involvement as she is a member of the Palatine Township Senior Center Board. "There is a lot of value in working somewhere that involvement is not only accepted, it is encouraged. I hope to contribute to our overall growth and our commitment to service in the new role of partner."

Lavelle Law is located in Palatine with an additional office serving clients in the Chicago Loop. The firm was founded in 1989 as a single attorney practice with an emphasis on tax law. The firm has added more than a dozen practice groups including estate planning, business law, banking law, litigation, criminal, immigration, divorce and family law, immigration law, and law practice management. The firm has received numerous awards and commendations for their business success, their commitment to ethics, national recognition for their pro bono services, and multiple acknowledgements of the charitable work they do in the local communities.
