Albright Theatre puts on holiday classic 'A Christmas Carol'
Starting Dec. 2, the Albright Theatre Company presents Michael A. Youngs' adaptation of "A Christmas Carol," a retelling of the Christmas classic.
This adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" provides a new twist to the Charles Dickens classic. A young boy named Thomas enjoys spending time at his grandfather's lending business, but does not understand why his grandfather would share hard-earned money with the poor. Grandfather takes the opportunity to tell Thomas the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, and a traditional retelling of the classic comes to life onstage. "A Christmas Carol" is directed by Batavia residents Nicolette Pollack and Kathy Pollack.
The cast features Naomi Gustin, Ronni Gustin, Annie Hanlin, Kelly Hunecke, Elisa Reamer, Abbey Sutton and Ron Gustin, all of Batavia; Charlie Egan, Griffin Egan and Ava Schumock, all of Geneva; Matthew Johnson, Jessica Shinofield and Abigail Shinofield, all of Aurora; Bruce Worthel of North Aurora; Lisel Neumann of Naperville; Courtney Elliot of Bolingbrook; Max Frantz of Lisle; Elizabeth Hilgart of Romeoville; Marin Hughes of Hinsdale; Rob Nowak of Lombard; Judy Swanson of Sugar Grove; and Ed Voci of Chicago.
