Scouts collect over 3,000 pounds of food for Winfield pantry

On Sunday, Nov. 6, Boy Scouts from Troop 575 and Cub Scouts from Pack 575 collected more than 3,200 pounds of nonperishable food as part of their annual food drive in Winfield.

Residents donated the food to restock the food pantry at the St. John the Baptist Church in Winfield.

As part of the drive, scouts visited more than 3,000 residences in Winfield.

The food drive was co-sponsored with the Knights of Columbus, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
