Scenes at Wrigley: Big crowds, creative costumes for World Series
The Cubs trip to the World Series might be easier than the fans' trips to tonight's game at Wrigley Field. By noon, the L cars were so packed near the Addison exit, riders were joking about scalping their train seats.
Streets outside the stadium are packed and bars are standing room only, with some notoriously charging hundreds of dollars in cover charges.
Inside Wrigley, the P.A. announcer is practicing his pronunciations of all the names on both rosters.
Hall of Famer Billy Williams will throw out the first pitch and actor Bill Murray will sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" for the game that begins at 7:08 p.m.
