A dog blessing, picnic, and water balloons

The annual community-wide picnic will be held on Sun., June 26 at Our Savior Lutheran Church www.oursavior.com, 1244 W. Army Trail, Carol Stream. Yes, everyone's welcome.

The events will begin with an outdoor service at 10:30 a.m. Bring the dog. Even Fido will receive a blessing.

At about 11:30, there will be a barbeque lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs. The remainder of the afternoon will be spent playing games - water balloons, a bags tournament, Human Boggle, and a bounce house for children to enjoy.

"We invite the community - young and old alike - to an afternoon of fun in the sun," said Rev. Andrew Koschman. "We're a neighborhood church and we look forward to meeting all of our neighbors."
