Acting/Singing Auditions for Naperville's Summer Place Theatre

Summer Place Theatre is celebrating its first 50 years with three shows in 2016 and we're looking for gifted actors, singers and dancers - like YOU!

The whole point of community theatre is to give local talent an opportunity to shine. Do you sing in choir or in the shower? Dance at clubs or in the family room? Do stand-up or business presentations? Wherever else you use your gifts, there's nothing like being part of a theatre community performing community theatre.

Auditions for this year's productions are almost here, so practice your best 32 bars, put on your dancing shoes and take a deep breath: This could be your moment.

The first show is "Jesus Christ Superstar" with auditions held on Thursday, March 31 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and again on Saturday, April 2 from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Performances are June 17-26.

The second show is "50 Years of Musicals from Summer Place Theatre" with auditions held on Saturday, April 2 from 1:00pm -4:00pm and again on Monday, April 4 from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. Performances are July 8-10.

Auditions for "The Music Man," the third and final show of the season have not yet been scheduled, so check the website in the next couple of weeks for those dates. Performances will be from July 29-August 7.

For details on what the directors want to see when you meet with them see the Auditions page on our website. http://www.summerplacetheatre.org/Auditions

Love theatre but aren't a performer? There wouldn't be a Summer Place without dedicated volunteers. There's a niche for you from set-building to promotions and from costuming to concessions. We would love to work with you - just drop us a line at backstage@summerplacetheatre.org.

Thanks for supporting Summer Place Theatre for the past 50 years! We're looking forward to celebrating with three top-notch shows this summer.
