Operatic Valentine's Day Concert celebrates 'love' in the operatic tradition

At 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights will present a free Valentine's Day concert that celebrates love in the operatic tradition.

Adam Hendrickson, director of music programs at the church, will share music that honors, remembers, and praises "love." Since opera is involved, the audience can expect love-themed pieces reflecting "longs for," "pines for," and "might do something he or she shouldn't do to get," into the mix. Operatic standouts from the Midwest will offer a delightful concert showcasing music from some of the most popular operas programmed at opera houses all over the world.

This free concert is part of the 2015-2016 Concert Series season at First Presbyterian. All concert events are free and open to the public, with free child care provided. The concert will be webcast at www.fpcah.org/webcast. First Presbyterian Church is at 302 N. Dunton Ave. in Arlington Heights. To learn more, visit www.fpcah.org or call the church office at (847) 255-5900.
