GardenWorks Project to host class on starting seeds indoors on Feb 3 in Lombard

The GardenWorks Project, a local nonprofit fighting hunger by providing families in need of food assistance with the resources necessary to grow food at home, is hosting a seed starting class for the public on February 3 at 7pm at Calvary Episcopal Church (105 W. Maple Ave, Lombard, IL).

Attendees will learn the issues that plague seed starters and discuss the equipment and techniques needed to raise healthy, robust plants.

A wide variety of seeds will be available for attendees to take home to try your hand at indoor seed starting. The class and seeds are offered free of charge, however, general donations of $5 to support our home vegetable garden program are accepted. Please RSVP at: gardenworksproject.org/events
