These photos of acres and acres of tulip blooms were taken in early April in Washington state's Skagit County. Wherever the eye could see, the land was filled with stripes of these colorful blooms. In this photo I was particularly drawn to the contrasting highflying kite that echoed the colors below. I thought I could not ever see anything quite so magnificent as these masses of tulips.
